This weeks Short Film Friday is short called “Skrillex- First of the Year (Equinox). It’s about an adult man following a young girl throughout the streets of a city, with the little girl unaware of his presence. When the man finally reaches a destination where the child and the man is alone, there is a huge turn of an event that changes the scenario of the scene.One of the reasons why I really liked this film was due do the overall feeling of the short. The music was slick and something you would expect out of a Frank Miller movie. They took the idea of a man following a little girl, and changed the whole scenario of the idea to a creative way that the original perspective of the audience switch to more dark different perspective.
I believe one of the highlights of the film is when you finally get to the middle. The first half is the man identifying the little girl, and begins to follow her into a more secluded area. But when he tries to approach her, the roles of the characters of hunter and hunted switch.
